Dr. Sam Sugiyama, President and Founder of EC RISK USA & EUROPE, LLC (1990 to Present), is an economist with over 36 years of training and industry experience in developing solutions to client problems using applied quantitative analysis and modeling. He has also provided on-site and regional training seminars in the U.S., Europe and Australia. Since 1990, he has been assisting clients in a variety of industries to effectively control risk using techniques he has refined over the past 18 years. Dr. Sugiyama was Director of Training and Consulting Services and Senior Consultant at Palisade Corporation (2002-2003), where he formed and grew the department. He has moved his professional services to EC RISK USA & EUROPE, LLC.

Barry M. Faulkner

Barry M. Faulkner, Associate EC RISK USA & EUROPE, LLC, is an expert in the area of petroleum geology and has provided consulting services for clients since 1985. Barry has over 30 years experience in world-wide petroleum exploration and production. He and Dr. Sam Sugiyama have collaborated on a number of projects to assist clients in developing sound risk assessments in oil and gas prospect valuation.

Masao M. Sugiyama, Ph.D.

Dr. Masao M. Sugiyama, Senior Developer at EC RISK USA & EUROPE, LLC, is also Professor of Mathematics at the Evergreen State College. He has extensive experience in teaching difficult mathematical concepts to non-mathematically minded students. He has devoted many summers to teaching underprivileged students in the Upward Bound Program, TESC. Dr. Sugiyama develops customized solutions for clients using his extensive experience in many programming languages.
